So the cushioning is good, the upper material is not that great, kind of hard, hurts the thumb after 1-2 hours of usage, but cam still live with that however the rear is where the discomfort is bad, the rear tongue doesn’t hold the feet well in the shoe, which especially is apparent on turns, can make the steps unbalanced as you will end up losing grip

Great midsole, awful upper, collar cut my ankle
Done one run in it and forced to get rid of it. Fantastic midsole, springy, awesome energy return. But…the upper is the most poorly designed I’ve ever come across in a running shoe. Terrible hard collar cut my ankle within a few kms. It seems that there are so many other people with the same issue so I can’t believe that this was missed in quality control, it’s a long run shoe so surely it was tested with lots of people?
The upper also runs very hot. It’s very well made but the choice of materials is terrible. I think the marketing/lifestyle department were given too much importance here and have ruined the show with the ‘fashion’ upper.
Such a shame as the Evo SL is my favourite ever running shoe!
