These are a reboot of the classic stability shoe. It is lighter, faster, and much more comfortable out of the box than older generations, much more breathable and flexible. However it's tank-like durability and cushioning has been reduced (shock absortion: Heel 89 SA / Forefoot 47 SA. Vs. Barricade 13 with 102 SA / 56 SA ).
If you prioritize heavy impact protection and joint relief, the Barricade 13 is superior. If you prefer a lighter, faster shoe with explosive toe-off, the Barricade 14 is the better option.
If you fancy the best of both shoes perhaps Defiant Speed 2 (H105 / F55 SA) could be ideal choice, within Adidas.
