WHAT IS THE LEGENDARY LEGACY OF ADIZERO ADIOS PRO?
Adizero entered the world with an ambition to build on the running legacy already established by the adidas family, and set a precedent in competitive world racing that would inspire athletes to run further and faster than ever before. In 2008, Haile Gebrselassie introduced the world to Adios Pro 1, when he shattered his own world record to become the first person to break the 2:04hr barrier. Since that day, Adizero has helped some of the world’s best runners achieve many more world records – including in marathon and half marathon distances. WHAT ARE ENERGYRODS 2.0?
An updated structural system, ENERGYRODS 2.0 have been engineered to mirror the metatarsal bones of an athlete’s foot. Fine-tuned carbon infused rods are designed to create a more anatomically-driven transition, by adding an extra layer of support and stability. The goal behind this holistic system is to allow runners to run as fast as possible, by delivering dynamic flexibility and increased stiffness in the toe-off for a feeling of snappy responsiveness. WHAT IS LIGHTSTRIKE PRO?
When it comes to marathon shoes, every gramme counts. That’s precisely why the new LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole is even lighter than the previous iteration. The revamped construction of this comfortable, super lightweight midsole features two layers of foam and resilient cushioning, designed to limit energy loss. When used in combination with ENERGYRODS in our pinnacle runners, this new and improved foam composition has extra absorbent properties, designed to compress the exerted energy and return it back to the runner. Careful.. sizing is a problem
It ruined my toe and ruined my marathon performance. This shoe has wrong sizing and badly designed toe box and you need to be careful.. bought 2 so far and both ended up in the trash. First bought my usual size which was perfect in pro 3 version. That ended up too tight at the toe box. Then I sized up, felt good at the toe box in the store but in a long run, the shoes is big so the toe slides down and hits the end front of the shoe. I had to stop running towards the end of my marathon, ruined my performance and ended up with a black toe one more time. Worst shoes ever from that aspect. I looked on line for a pro 3 and bought that again. Adidas please fix this as otherwise it is a great racing shoe. Hope you’re listening.
