Pushing boundaries across athletic disciplines.

At adidas Running, our mission is to empower ambitious athletes in their pursuit of personal growth and breaking boundaries. Whether that means going faster, further or higher, all athletes are driven to push boundaries and set new benchmarks. Our mission here is clear: to inspire personal betterment and celebrate the achievements, the wins and the love for the sport!

Budapest 2023

In 2023, our athletes showcased great dedication and skill in a fierce athletic competition.

Throughout 9 days of challenging finals, they surpassed all expectations with outstanding performances in diverse disciplines, claiming podiums and redefining fast in the world of sports.

We collectively claimed a total of 26 medals: 9 x Gold. 6 x Silver. 11 x Bronze.

Leading the pack, the three-time world champion Noah Lyles dominated by winning 3 gold medals. He became the first American since 2005 to achieve the 100m and 200m double, and topped it off with another medal in the relay 4x4. His performances in these highly contested disciplines will not only secure his place in the history books of the event but also in the annals of sporting history.

We kept on setting new benchmarks: Grant Holloway made history by winning his third consecutive 110m hurdles world title, becoming only the second man to achieve this feat. Similarly, Marileidy Paulino became the first female athlete from the Dominican Republic to win an individual world title for her country, upgrading her silver medal from Eugene 2022.

Pushing the limits of sporting performance with ADIZERO and achieving inspiring results, we have shown once again that we are: Made to win.

In 2022, we witnessed an impressive display of athletic prowess. Powered by ADIZERO, we racked up an imposing total of 24 medals (8 gold, 6 silver, 10 bronze), consistently claiming our place on the podium.

We saw a new world record by Tobi Amusan, making her the first ever African gold medallist in the 100m hurdles. Shaunae Miller-Uibo achieved an unprecedented feat by winning every single major championship from juniors to seniors in the 400m, including two Olympic gold medals.

We did not stop there: Noah Lyles set a new national record in the 200m, making him the 3rd fastest ever and the third-ever back-to-back world champion in the Men's 200m. Additionally, Alison dos Santos and Tamirat Tola both established new world championship records in the 400m hurdles and marathon, respectively. Up-and-coming Erriyon Knighton won a bronze medal in the 200m, making him the youngest world champs medallists ever, while Grant Holloway became the first athlete defending the 110m hurdles title in 19 years.
