This 5 mm mat hits the sweet spot between cushion and stability. It’s soft enough to protect my knees and wrists in floor poses, but firm enough that I don’t wobble in balance work. The surface stays grippy even when my hands get sweaty, so no sliding mid-flow. It rolls up easily and doesn’t hold onto that plasticky smell some mats have. Comfortable, dependable, and a pleasure to practise on.
