GLITCH App – Privacy Policy

1.      Who is responsible for this mobile application?


The adidas International Trading BV, Atlas Arena, Africa Building, Hoogoorddreef 9a, 1101 BA Amsterdam, The Netherlands ("adidas", "we", "us" or "our") collects, processes and uses information obtained through the GLITCH application. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.


2.     What kind of information do we collect


We will collect any information that you provide while using the GLITCH App when you:

-       Create an account

-       Purchase a product

-       or otherwise contact us through the GLITCH App, for example Customer Support.


Information may include, but is not limited to

-       your name, username and password

-       contact data such as phone number, postal address or e-mail address,

-       date of birth or picture, Gender,

-       social media profile information,

-       location (GPS) information, and

-       when necessary, payment information.

All of this data is characterized by the fact that you have provided this information yourself.


3.     How do we process and use your information


We will process and use your information to provide and improve our services, and for the various purposes detailed below:

-       Processing your order: we use information like your name, address and payment details to process and deliver your order, and to notify you of the status of your order. We may also use your information to assess your creditworthiness, for which we may use third parties.

-       Customer service: if you contact our Customer Service (or vice versa), we will use information such as your order information and contact history to process your request and provide you with the best service possible.


4.     Location Services


If location services are activated the mobile app receives information about your actual location (such as GPS signals sent by a mobile device) or information that can be used to approximate a location. You are asked if the location service can be activated and you can at any time object to the location service within the settings section of your phone. Information about your actual location is not stored.


5.     Push-Notifications


This mobile app uses Push-Notifications. You can switch off this function any time in the settings section of your phone. If you decide to turn them off, you will not receive any communication from us. This will harm the experience of this app as you will not receive any information, for example regarding your purchase.


6.     Social networks


This mobile app offers certain social plugins. If you decide to interact with these plugins and share your activities on social networks, parts of your personal data (e.g. your name and the fact that you are interested in adidas) will be visible for all visitors to your personal social media website. For the use of this social media website, the general terms and conditions (including provisions on data privacy) of the respective social media website apply exclusively. adidas is not responsible for the processing of personal data or for the data privacy policy of the respective social media website.


7.     Analytics


The usage of this mobile app is evaluated. This is for example done in order to determine the frequency of visits to certain parts of the mobile app, to report crashes and errors or to find out what information and services you are most interested in. These evaluations are carried out anonymously; we do not send any IP addresses or other identifiers to our service provider. You can further deactivate analytics within the settings section of this mobile app.


8.     NFC Integration


The shoes have an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip integrated. The chip will not store or process any personal data. The only purpose it has is to provide you with special features such as entry to a special event or access to a venue.


9.     Service Provider and third parties


We use various service providers including companies who process data, such as hosting companies or payment handling service providers. These companies are subject to strict rules they need to adhere to in order to process your information.

Please note that requests sent in languages other than German or English will take longer to process as they first have to be translated. In case that requests are sent in other languages please make sure that you use the word "GLITCH App" in English language in the subject of your e-mail.
