micoach is all you need to get the results you want.
These trainers give great support, but they're light and flexible and the colour combination really stands out
Absolutely lovely pair of trainers the only thing that could make these any better is if they were gortex, as run trails where there's lots of mud water puddles and dew in the fields
The upper is ok, reasonably light and doesn't retain water. The sole is durable rubber that provides a lot of grip, I ran on slippery wooden boards and found grip. Downsides are : size, I had to go up half a size from traditional Adidas sizing (though this brings its sizing more in line with most other manufacturers). weight, as a forefoot striker the weight is mostly at the rear of the shoe in a load of cushioning I rarely use. The cushioning in the forefoot is misleading as this shoe has not been designed with midfoot or forefoot strikers in mind and just slows us down. I'll keep the shoe now as a winter plod along trainer and throw it after 100 miles - 5 done so far.. as I've worn it outside. Recommend this as a good shoe for stubborn heel strikers.
I purchased these and a pair of Glide. I found the response a bit bulky comparied to the glide. There was little repsponce to them, for a little bit more money, I would recommend Glide which are a lighter weight.
I have always liked the response line of running shoes due to their basic, no nonsense approach. Not a lot of needless bells and whistles just decent cushioning. I have run in the supernova line as well but always felt they were a bit heavy and stiff. The response boost runs like a light shoe with good flexibility. Great basic trainer.
Great shoes, different from most others out there. You'd even believe you could be a superhero in them! They'll get noticed!
These are designed to be trail shoes, built with an upper reminiscent of the Ultra boosts- the back of the upper is the same soft wrap-around neoprene. Like the Ultra Boosts, the fit is miles out. Try them in a shop before buying, as you may be shocked. They fit very short and wide, compared to most other brands. I had to order online, as finding UK 12.5 is all but impossible on the high street. The uppers are a mixed blessing. First the bad news: The lacing system is extremely primitive, and the lack of any proper heel counter means that the uppers feel very unstructured. Because of this lack of structure, you feel like you need to pull the laces tight, to avoid heel slide. This causes terrible hotspots on top. Counter-intuitively, you need to lace them in a fairly relaxed manner. A better lacing system would be nice. The straps on the upper are obviously meant to stabilise, brace, and anchor the lacing- that's fine. However, the additional diagonal elastic straps serve no purpose, poking out loose, adding weight to an already heavy shoe. They increase the tendency of the shoe to snag on bushes and sticks on forested trails. I'm very tempted to cut them off, as they're counter-productive. The toe-cap is clearly a little stiff, to give a little protection to the toes- that's fine, but it's a little low. It could benefit from a little more height to give you more "wiggle room" (literally). That said, once you get the lacing system to behave, they feel reasonably comfy on the feet, and don't seem to blister the heels, despite the primitive lacing system and lack of a proper heel counter. The neoprene wrap-around design is fantastic. The weight of the shoes is a little much. They're really not racers by any stretch of the imagination. You may well notice the effect of the weight in your times- though they don't feel uncomfortably heavy due to the springy boost foam. The good news: When the lacing settles down, they cradle the foot nicely, with only a few niggles. The sole units are very plush. Boost continues to deliver- providing level of shock absorption while remaining lively rather than feeling like dead flesh. This really is the best aspect of the shoes, and thoroughly enjoyable. You can really enjoy a relaxed trail run in comfort. The outsoles are very sturdy indeed. The Continental rubber is grippy on all sorts of surfaces, and even tolerable on tarmac (though obviously you'll wear the tread down faster). You can be reasonably confident that they won't let you down. The only niggle with the outsoles is that they're not at all good at shedding mud. Even relatively dry, hard-packed mud tends to clog the treads, and is very hard to remove. This might not be a problem for the trails of Colorado, but in the UK, mud is an ever-constant trail reality for most people! Sometimes you will feel a lack of grip. and have to stop to stamp some of the mud out/poke it out with a stick. The outsole design is a choice. There are shoes that shed mud well, but that requires a very aggressive design with larger nubs, with slightly raked edges- which might give less grip on surfaces like rock. Do be aware of the tradeoff, though. These aren't the best shoes for a muddy run. See the included photo of how badly the soles clog- even on relatively firm and dry forest trails. Summary: So.. am I glad I bought these shoes? Yes, with reservations They're comfy and sturdy, and provide a sure-footed feel in many conditions. Boost foam delivers the goods as ever- giving a genuinely pleasurable ride. Are there things that I'd change? Of course.. getting rid of that stupid diagonal strap, improving the lacing system, possibly looking at shaving some weight off what is a very heavy shoe- those are the big ones. These are quite a bold design, and there was a lack of good reviews when I bought them, so I was taking a chance. However, I do look forward to pulling them on for those slower off-road runs. They're enjoyable to use- can't really ask for more than that. I look forward to a tweaked second version of these, fingers crossed!
Adidas and Avengers = Perfect pair. Love the design and the comfort! Perfect for my runs. Hope you can have a wave 2 of this and do Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow designs.
Nice looking trainer arrived on time and was a good fit but my sporty son only wore it a few times and the thin fabric upper started to develop a hole. Rather disappointed that the material was not strong enough to withstand greater wear and tear.
really worth buying, fit perfectly well and the design is really nice.
Very bouncy and comfortable on the feet. I have problems with my left foot and numbness. However, my left foot felt pretty good in these shoes wile running an 8 km run. I usually start feel some pain after 4 km but I am able to run the whole 8 km without pain.
I love the Boost Adidas shoe. I can put it on and go. I have literally received my Boost shoes the night before a 1/2 Marathon with no problems. These are no different I tolerated the somewhat glitzy reflectors, that stick out a bit from the shoe. I got over it and kept them.
AHHHHH....that's what my feet said after putting on these shoes at a local store...unfortunately,they had only on odd color combo,so I ordered from adidas.com,got the charcoal and pink.I work in a hospital,so I'm often on my feet, plus I walk for exercise....These felt fabulous after a full night of walking and working...My only request is that they offer maybe more of a coloe selection...otherwise, I highly recommend these shoes to anyone....very well cushioned; feel like slippers on but with support...A WINNER...thank you
I tried them out in the house and in 15 minutes I was running outside, with my orthotics of course. I love them. I especially appreciate the fact that there is no tongue in my way, plenty of movement, yet a lot of support. I'm not sure how long they will last. I am rough on trail runners. Time will tell. I will buy a second pair soon. Thank you Adidas. I can still depend on you!
These shoes look and feel like they would be a great trail running shoe, however they fit at least a size too large. I am normally a size 7-8, so I ordered a 7 and they felt like size 9s! Otherwise they felt like. Very comfortable and mouldable shoe
Great purchase!! They look as they look online! Very happy and a lot of compliments as well!!
Personally, the boost material is the best cushioning system ever invented. These response boosts were perfect for me because I run but also do strength training. The placement of the boost material provides a studier base the the shoe rather than a pure or ultra boost. I now have a pair of ultra, pure, and response boost and I would recommend an ultra boost for a running or casual shoe. The response boost is a perfect training shoe.
Got these kicks on Monday and it will be my go to shoe for the next couple of months. First of all it seems like adidas is undersellling their own product : the shoe has boost in the heel but also targeted ( my terminology so excuse me) boost in the forefoot. When I asked (very helpful chap via chat hr only confirmed the heel boost). The boost feels bit less bouncy than pure boost 2(that is ky second pair) but looks like in exchange of stability The fit is great and snugly, nicely wraps around the foot. Also feels well ventilated in the toe area Got the shoes for daily commutes ( cycling) and regular trips with kids and the shoes seem to be a good choice
Good shoe, but doesn't breath very well. Web braiding is kind of weak, so don't try to play basketball in them... Not that you should in running shoes.
Look great, fit great. Really comfortable running shoes.
Hi. I have been wearing this shoe for a week and so far so good. It is very comfortable. This is my first boost shoe and it feels good. The shoe looks good from outside and inside.
these trainer look great fit is spot on great heel absorbsion
The comfort is outstanding and a over all great quality shoe. the width and length is true to size and a very good running trainer.
I own the original Energy Boost, Energy Boost 2, Supernova Boost 6 and Supernova Boost 7. After chatting with online personnel, I decided to give the Response Boost 2 a try. It is somewhat ironic, that a shoe named "Response" totally lacks the cushioning and "response" that made the Boost shoes such a hit!! Rides very firm and has little "rebound" qualities of the aforementioned shoes. I will only use this shoe for short 2-4 mile recovery runs.
I purchased the Captain America version/color of the Response Boost shoes and find them extremely comfortable. I hadn't noticed the finer details of the Marvel themes in the shoe until receiving them-they have Captain America shield symbols on the inside of the tongue and a Captain America drawing on the inside of the shoe. I love how they look and they feel great. This is my first pair of Boost shoes but my lone concern is how long the boost material (the white foam/cushion part of the shoe) holds up over time. I plan to take good care of these shoes and not use them too often for running, but time will tell.
