I've had these with me every day for nearly 17 months traveling around stuffed in my back pack in different countries/terrains/climates for my job. I usually pack several different pairs for different purposes, But I've always wanted a light but tough retro running shoe, but accepted it was probably impossible.
However, this unusually breathable upper mixed with a classic sturdy eva retro midsole/outsole is clearly the toughness secret you'd never find in a modern running shoe. I've run fast(ish) daily 1 mile sprints on grass/wet firm sand-not pavement (I need to get on 2 wheels for anything above 400m). So I'd genuinely recommend these as classic great value breathable all-rounders especially for those of you that only ever have 1 pair of sneaks at a time, really durable - you can bang them in a washing machine on a 30' tied up in a pillow case (saves unraveling the laces, to avoid machine drum-hole tangle nightmares) and they're fresh again! Seriously, these have been a decent investment for me. If you can live with the 'pre-knackered suede look' (until-we all pray, they release a 'full colour, white leather lace stay' non vintage version a'la Achill)) these are absolutely excellent! I've literally just ordered another pair. Ace!

absolutely Fab pair of Trainers. Got these to replace the 2nd set of Chile '62 trainers which gave me great service Like the Rom Trainers you should move up Half size from the fit of the Chile '62 and they are spot on I would also say that the comfort is exceptionally Good !! Wanted something retro and these Ooze that groovey 70s look. Go well with Jeans. a Must Have for any wardrobe Thanks Adidas

The SL 72 vintage shoe is a great lookin' shoe with it's vintage retro color from the 70's 80's. But was a little dissapointed in the arch, a little to narrow and not wider in the middle which made it a little to uncomfortable to wear and doesn't have the flat lookin' sole to it. A little different than the 80's version which I remember owning as a kid. Just have to get used to the fit. But overall glad to have. No regrets.

Really like these trainers. They looks good and feel great on the feet. They are really light and quite comfortable. Ideal for casual everyday wearing.
