Rated 4 out of 5 by Alan From Franklin Great lower half, Weak upper half
Obviously this is just a personal preference. But while I love the cushioning and the perfect rise from front to back, I do not like the upper half construction.
The upper half feels like a sock, not a shoe. It is flimsy enough that a quick turn or a slope will cause your foot to shift inside the shoe. I am a little concerned that a second of not paying attention to my foot striking the pavement will cause a turned ankle or a fall.
I run in a very hilly area and prefer a bit more substance than this upper half. But in optimum conditions it is a very comfortable shoe and has plenty of cushioning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Doctor Ultra From 5k to 50-mile -- PR's all the way...
Of all the shoes I have worn, these are the best. First thing I did with them, I set a 5k PR. Then I ran a 50-miler last weekend in these, brought another pair of shoes to change into just in case but did not, Lol. These were trouble-free the whole way. First time I ever finished a race that long with one pair of shoes. First time I finished a race that long and nothing hurt. :-) I wish I could swear on here I love them so much!!!! Frankenfurter Yeah!!! These are THE shoes! Now I am going to try the different models of boost shoes-- like the adizero Adios boost (since they have red now.)

The Energy Boost 2.0's are pretty darn good, at least they have been for my first 3 runs. I have done 3, 4 and 7 miles with them and I give them a solid A so far. I am 66 and have only been a runner for 3 years. In analyzing my style, I am definitely a heel striker that needs a lot of cushion. Asics Gel Nimbus has been great but I switched over to Hokas for the extra cushion in February. I wear a size ten shoe, eleven in Asics and Hokas, and the "sizer" said I needed an 11 1/2 so I went with that and I am glad because 11 would have been too small for sure. I guess I would like them to be a bit wider but they still feel great. I have 5 races next month so I will run at least 3 of them in the Adidas and the rest in the Hokas and see how they do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NUPE running Best shoe ever
I have very sensitive feet and this shoe is the best one i have run in. I have been running for 10+ years and have run in many different shoes and I can say with out a doubt that this is the best! I have a narrow foot and it was just right for me so I will say it is runs narrow but that is great for me!

I am 200+ pounds, 5'11", and was looking for a shoe that would help with the impact my weight puts on my back and legs when jogging.
This shoe has a really good sole. It's good from the moment you put it on.. but it really shines after the first couple of miles of your run.
That when I feel it really respond.. when I start going faster and my feet hit the ground harder.
There are things I wish were better, but it's more about personal taste. If it fits your foot well, it's a good running shoe to add to your collection.
My wish list:
I wish the arch was just a touch wider.
I wish the outer sole looked better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Redleg Runner Buy This Shoe!
As an active duty member of the armed forces I have been running for over twenty years. I've tried every brand, seen every running shoe fad from super technical to minimalist and everything in between. While I was deployed recently my wife sent me a pair of Boost shoes (version 1.0) that she bought at the local post exchange. She told me about them and I was VERY skeptical. Until they arrived and I took them out of the box and ran 5 miles....and it was GLORIOUS. These are the lightest, best fitting, and most responsive shoes I have ever owned. I'm a large frame dude who is a mild over pronator and these work great for me. I'm on my third pair and have even got my wife hooked and them as well. In short....run one time in these shoes and you'll never go back to anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Numbers Same great sole; more plush upper
I purchased the original Boost shoes when they came out last year and absolutely love them. Although v1.0 and v2.0 look the same, there are some significant differences between the two versions.
The new shoe fits much more true to size. I originally ordered my v2.0 shoes a 1/2 size larger than normal, as I did for v1.0, but this was a mistake. The new shoes run much more true to size, so I returned them and purchased the shoe in the size I normally wear. These fit great.
The upper is also much more plush on v2.0 than v1.0, especially in the tongue. While the added material means that the new shoe doesn't quite feel as much like an extension of your foot as the original; the update feels great and seems to correct the pressure point issues some runners experienced with v1.0. Also, the v2.0 shoes seem to sit a little higher off of the ground than the originals.
That said, the feel of the shoe and cushioning are just as good as in the original. Love these shoes and think that they're the best looking Boosts yet. Will definitely buy another pair when these need to be replaced.

I've only had the shoes for just over a week now, and have only been about to put about 15 miles on them, but so far its been an absolute blast running in these.
So far I've noticed they have been much easier on my joints than my minimalist shoes I had been using prior, obviously that would be the case, but these shoes are not much heavier than those, so its not like I am adding weight for extra cushioning.
You really can feel the Boost material at work in these shoes, at least I can, since this is the first go around I have had with the material, and I like it much better than the standard EVA foam.
All in all, its a great product, and so far I would heavily recommend it to anyone wanting to give them a shot. I look forward to adding a lot more miles on them and hope they continue to perform at the level they are now!

I never considered adidas for running shoes for long distance running and was recommended this at local running store.
Its a good shoe, light and cushy, however, personally I would want more forefoot cushioning so that the offset would become 4-6mm and not present 10mm.
I really like the upper and how it wraps your foot so that it feels really solid on turns no slippage. Did a long run and no discomfort , but its too early to tell if there will be cumulative damage overtime due to light forefoot cushioning.
Definitely buy 1/2 size up, the general fit is great as much as I'm thinking running without socks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by darkchild US Army Runner
I have to run all the time in the US Army so comfortable running shoes are a must all the time. I already had the red original Energy Boost shoes and was satisfied with those so I figured it was about time to upgrade and try the Energy Boost 2.0 version.
I'm content with my Energy Boost shoes. The tongue seems a little smaller in the 2.0 version, but there's nothing wrong with that. The only drawback that I have had with both the original and the 2.0 version is that I have slightly wide feet so I wish Adidas sold 7.0 W shoe sizes.
Please let me know if there is actually a way to special order these if possible. It took me a couple of days to break-in my shoes so both sides of my feet (mostly inner) wouldn't be sore anymore.
